Narrative
MOBILE CO., AL – A 39-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday when a vehicle struck him along the highway in central Mobile County.
The accident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on US-45 near Mauvilla, which is approximately 10 miles northwest of Prichard and 15 miles northwest of Mobile.
Police shared any details about the circumstances of the crash. It’s unclear if the victim was walking on the shoulder or in a lane of travel when the vehicle hit him.
Authorities identified the deceased pedestrian as Otis Reed Jr. of McIntosh.
No charges have been announced thus far.
