PICKENS CO., AL – A 78-year-old man died Thursday after a two-vehicle collision along US-82 in northwest Pickens County.
The incident happened around 8:45 p.m. just west of Reform, which is about 30 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa.
The investigation thus far indicates that a Toyota Tundra struck a Chrysler 300 along the highway, killing the driver of the Chrysler at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Otha D. Rockett of Columbus.
Medics airlifted a passenger from the Chrysler to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and passenger from the Toyota both went to the hospital via ground ambulance with injuries of unknown severity.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
