SHELBY CO., AL – A 30-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday in a two-vehicle collision along a highway in northern Shelby County.
The incident happened around 2:11 p.m. just west of Vandiver on AL-25.
Police say that the victim died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a van near mile marker 160.
Authorities identified the victim as Tyler A. Herrod.
The driver of the van did not sustained injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
