Narrative

LAWRENCE CO., AL – A 33-year-old man died Saturday after an ambulance struck his motorcycle along the highway in central Lawrence County.

The incident happened near the intersection of AL-157 and FM 243, which is just north of the town of Moulton.

Police say the victim was waiting with his disabled 2003 Honda VT600 motorcycle when an ambulance hit him, and he died at the scene.

Authorities identified the biker as Sidney L. Canada II.

Medics transported both the ambulance driver and a patient on the ambulance to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

An investigation is underway.
