Narrative

HUNTSVILLE, AL – A 22-year-old man, who was a passenger, succumbed to fatal wounds after his driver crashed their vehicle into a tree amid icy road conditions.  

This single-vehicle collision happened before 4 a.m. Monday at the Jeff Road and Blake Bottom Road junction. The 22-year-old man, La’Tron Terrell Dawson from Huntsville, was declared deceased at the scene. 

First responders rushed another occupant to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services for treatment of serious wounds. 

An investigation has been launched. While very few details are available, police did confirm that speed played a part in this collision.
