MUSCLE SHOALS, AL – Crews responded to a fatal solo crash along a busy roadway in north-central Colbert County on Thursday.
The incident happened around 6:40 a.m. just south of Northwest Alabama Regional Airport on 6th Street.
Police say that for unknown reasons the driver of a westbound Nissan Maxima lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an embankment.
The driver of the Maxima, identified as William Autry Dale Jr, died at the scene of the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
