Three children hurt in two-vehicle wreck involving school bus

PICKENS COUNTY, AL – Police are looking for a driver involved in a crash that injured passengers aboard a school bus, according to Al.com.

A bus for Pickens County schools was driving down Pickens County Road 30 when it was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Ford’s driver fled the site of the accident and is currently wanted by state police.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported the wreck at about 3:47 p.m. Thursday, at the intersection of Pickens County Road 30 and Kelley Road.

Three juvenile passengers on the school bus were injured and treated at area hospitals. They are all in stable condition.

The Highway Patrol Division with the ALEA is currently looking into the accident. Investigators have asked the public to come forward with any information relating to the crash.
