Teenaged driver killed, two passengers hurt in car wreck

NORTHPORT, AL – A vehicle wreck that took place on Tuesday claimed the life of one teenager and injured two others, according to CBS 42.

A driver was traveling along Rose Boulevard near the Highway 171 overpass on Tuesday. The vehicle then veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

The accident happened at around 3:20 p.m.

The driver, a 17-year-old from Tuscaloosa County, was killed at the crash site. Two other Tuscaloosa County teenagers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

No further information about the cause of the wreck is available as the Northport Police Department continues to look into the case.
