Man killed in motorcycle accident during a funeral procession

TUSCALOOSA, AL – A motorcyclist in a funeral procession died after an accident with another motorcycle on Saturday, Fox 23 reports.

A man in a group of motorcyclists was riding in a funeral procession at 12:18 p.m Saturday. According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, he departed the procession to get a forgotten item from the church. The motorcyclist, a man from Lincoln, made a U-turn on Short 19th Street from the right lane. He struck another motorcyclist who was not able to evade him from the left lane. The Lincoln man was fatally injured after the impact.

The passenger of his vehicle and the other motorcyclist were both hospitalized for minor injuries.
