1 killed in 2-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL – WVUA23 reports that a man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa on Monday night.

Authorities say the crash took place around 9:00 p.m., near the 75 mile marker on Interstate 59. 53-year-old Jody B. Johnson, of Millport, was riding a scooter on I-59 while not wearing a helmet, when he was struck by an SUV.

Johnson was killed in the impact. Details regarding the SUV driver are unavailable at this time.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
