ALPINE, AL – A 31-year-old man crossing Alabama 21 lost his life after he was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Impala on Thursday, March 14th. 

The pedestrian, who was identified as James Meeks from Weogufka, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. It is unclear if the driver, 45-year-old Trederick Cook from Sylacauga, will be cited or charged for his involvement in this collision.
