BOYD, AL – A 24-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries when her Toyota Avalon drifted off Highway 17, went into a ditch, and rolled over in a creek near Boyd around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. This happened adjacent to the 148-mile marker. The woman was identified as Amber L. Scott. It is unclear if impairment or speed was a contributing factor in this collision.
