Narrative
NEAR PHENIX CITY, AL – An 18-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner drifted off U.S. 431 and crashed into a ditch, leading the car to overturn and claiming his life and the two passengers with him.
This single-vehicle wreck happened before 8 p.m. Thursday. The three occupants were declared dead at the scene. Two of the three killed were identified as 19-year-old Shennan Darst and 20-year-old Riley Witt from Cummings, Georgia.
Authorities have not released the driver’s name as they do not release the identities of anyone under 18.
