MONTGOMERY, AL – A passenger vehicle struck an ambulance in an accident on Tuesday, leading to the death of one child, according to WSFA 12.
The driver of a 2008 Nissan Altima was traveling on Federal Drive when their vehicle collided with an ambulance at the 1100th block.
The crash took place at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Both occupants of the ambulance and the Nissan driver were left with minor injuries. A child passenger of the Nissan passed away after they were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Information regarding the cause of the crash is not yet available as the Montgomery Police Department continues to investigate.
