Two-vehicle crash claims the life of one, injures one

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL – State troopers are investigating a fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer near a county line, WEAR-TV reports.

A 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling along Highway 21 when the vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer. The collision took place at about 9:15 a.m. Monday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The Chevrolet driver, a 63-year-old man from Atmore, was killed at the crash site.

A passenger of the Chevrolet sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. It’s unknown if her condition has since improved.
