Single-vehicle wreck in Mobile claims the life of one man

MOBILE, AL – A man was fatally injured last weekend after his car crashed into a creek, according to Fox 10 News.

A man was driving east on Halls Mill Road when his vehicle swerved off of the road and drove into Eslava Creek. The car crashed near the intersection of Halls Mill Road and Holcombe Avenue, at about 7:46 p.m. Friday.

Emergency personnel from the Mobile Fire and Rescue Department were on the scene of the wreck.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The man was 69 years old.

The Mobile Police Department is currently looking into the cause of the crash.
