Narrative
MACON CO., AL – Police are investigating an early morning accident involving two commercial vehicles that happened along the interstate in north-central Macon County.
Crews responded to the scene around 3:33 a.m. on the northbound side of I-85 near mile marker 33, which is just east of Tuskegee.
The cause of the accident is unclear, and officials haven’t yet reported on injuries.
ALEA closed the northbound lanes of I-85 in the vicinity of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
