Narrative

NEAR HOPE HULL, AL – A 73-year-old woman was sent to a hospital, and a driver, a 73-year-old man, lost his life after his car collided with a semi-truck near Hope Hull Thursday. This collision occurred before 5:45 p.m. on Lowndes County 6 near I-65. It is unclear if the car motorist — Michael Harris — was speeding, impaired, tired, or what the other factor was that led him to collide with the truck. The impact had led him to succumb to fatal wounds at the scene, while his passenger, Suzanna Harris, was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment. There has been no official word on her condition. The truck driver, an unidentified man from Idaho, walked away from the collision unscathed. There were no reports of pending charges at this time.
