MCCALLA, AL – A driver of a pickup truck died after colliding with a Publix big rig at the McAshan Drive & Old Tuscaloosa Highway intersection before noon Monday. First responders took the pickup truck driver to UAB West, where he succumbed to fatal injuries. The big rig driver was unharmed.
