Vehicle strikes, injures pedestrian in Jackson County

TUPELO, NM – A pedestrian was hurt after a he was hit by a car on a county road earlier this week, according to WEIS Radio.

A man from Albertville was driving on Alabama 168 when his 2001 Chevrolet struck a person walking in the roadway. The incident took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Authorities were called to the crash site at the 17-mile marker.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment. It’s unclear if he is in stable condition.

Additional details about what caused the accident are unknown at this time. The ALEA is currently investigating.
