Multi-vehicle crash causes death of one, injures one

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL – An accident involving three cars claimed the life of a driver and injured one passenger on Sunday, according to Al.com.

A 2007 Ford F-350 was traveling on Lawrence County 217 when it collided with a 1994 GMC Sonoma that was disabled in the roadway. The impact caused the Ford to also strike a 2007 Ford Econoline van. The wreck took place at around 7:29 p.m., eight miles from Hillsboro.

The van’s driver, a 54-year-old man from Trinity, was pronounced dead after he was taken to Lawrence Medical Center. The passenger was taken to Decatur General Hospital for her injuries.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is currently looking into the crash.
