Pedestrian fatally injured after pickup truck hits him

ENTERPRISE, AL – A pickup truck hit and killed a pedestrian on the side of a county road yesterday evening, according to WSFA 12.

A man was driving along Coffee County 708 at about 6:20 p.m. when his 2016 Chevy Silverado swerved from the road and hit a pedestrian.

The wreck happened about one mile outside of Enterprise, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The pedestrian, a 77-year-old man from Enterprise, was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash.

It’s unclear what exactly caused the accident to occur. We will continue to monitor this story as the ALEA investigates.
