Narrative

HOUSTON, CO., AL – A 19-year-old woman was killed and a man was rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle wreck near Dothan on Tuesday morning.

Police say 21-year-old James Blake Glass lost control of his 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV on Willie Varnum Road, causing it strike a power pole and overturn before landing against a tree.

Glass was rushed to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 19-year-old Carmen Alexus Shiver, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
