NEAR GOODWATER, AL – A 39-year-old man driving a car drifted off Clay County Road 7, leading it to rollover and him suffering fatal wounds Monday. 

This single-vehicle crash happened before 4:30 p.m. The driver — Christopher Gortney — did not wear a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
