Narrative
PIEDMONT, AL – A 48-year-old man, a motorcyclist, and a 28-year-old woman, a Nissan Frontier driver, was airlifted to the hospital after a collision on U.S. 278 near Piedmont Sunday. This fatal wreck occurred before 7 p.m. when the operator of a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with the Nissan. The motorcyclist – Marcus T. Raney Jr. of Piedmont – was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nissan driver – Hannah Bagwell, also a Piedmont resident – was taken to UAB Hospital for unspecified injuries.
