BIRMINGHAM, AL – A car veered over several lanes of traffic and drove onto the sidewalk, fatally injuring a male pedestrian, CBS 42 reports.
He was hit by the car in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue West. The vehicle departed the scene before the authorities arrived.
The pedestrian, a man whose identity is unknown, was pronounced deceased by emergency responders at the accident site.
The accident occurred Thursday afternoon, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reports.
