BIRMINGHAM, AL – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a vehicle fire following an accident on I-65 heading south today, according to Birmingham Total Traffic.

At about 8:35 a.m. today, an accident near Exit 254 to Alford Avenue led to a car catching on fire. Birmingham Total Traffic reports that the right lane of I-65 surrounding the crash was closed down, leading to traffic delays in the area.
It is unknown if anyone was injured as a result of the accident. We will monitor this story for more details.
