SHELBY COUNTY, AL – A single-vehicle crash on a county road claimed the life of a Columbiana man over the weekend, WBRC 6 reports.
A man was driving along Shelby County Road 26 on Sunday when his vehicle swerved off of the roadway for unknown reasons.
The man, a 50-year-old from Columbiana, died at the scene of the accident. Emergency responders were not called to the wreck until yesterday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Troopers.
The Highway Patrol Division with the ALEA is currently looking into the circumstances of the crash.
