HOOVER, AL – Officers are looking into the circumstances of a crash that fatally injured one pedestrian today, CBS 42 reports.
The pedestrian was found deceased on I-459 this afternoon. Authorities reported that the decedent was likely hit by multiple cars in the roadway. The incident took place between the Lorna Road bridge and I-65.
A witness reported the body at about 1 p.m. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
The crash site blocked part of I-459 and lead to some delays. It’s unclear whether the area has since been cleared.
The Hoover Police Department has asked the public to come forward with any information pertaining to their investigation.
