JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL – A vehicle crashed on the side of the road over the weekend, causing one death and several injuries, CBS 42 reports.
A Toyota 4Runner was driving on Carson Road North when it lost control, crashed, and flipped over. The accident happened near the intersection with Johnson Drive at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
One passenger, a 51-year-old woman from Springville, was ejected from the car and killed at the scene of the crash site. Several other passengers were hospitalized for treatment.
The conditions of the injured passengers are currently unknown.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating the wreck. We will be following this story as it develops.
