Narrative

BIRMINGHAM, AL – A 66-year-old man was sent to UAB Hospital, where he later died following a single-pickup truck wreck that happened in the Collegeville area Saturday. 

This collision occurred before 11:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of 28th Avenue North. It is unclear what led the man, later identified as Kalvin Knight, to crash his Dodge Ram pickup truck. 

Upon arrival, officials rushed Knight to the mentioned hospital, where he died from his injuries before 10:15 a.m. Sunday. 

Birmingham Police have launched an investigation and have not released other details at this time.
